Sachin Tendulkar is an Indian former international cricketer and a former captain of the Indian national team.

Sachin Tendulkar is the widely regarded as one of the greatest batsman in the history of cricket.

Sachin Tendulkar took up cricket at the age of 11.

Sachin Tendulkar made his Test debut on 15th November,1989 against Pakistan in Karachi at the age of 16.

Sachin Tendulkar is the only player to have scored 100 International centuries.

He is the first batsman to score a double century in an ODI , the only player to complete more than 30000 runs in international cricket.

In 2001 , Sachin Tendulkar became the first batsman to complete 10000 ODI runs in his 259 innings.

Sachin Tendulkar received the Arjuna Award in 1994 for his outstanding sporting achievement.

He also received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award in 1997.
Sachin Tendulkar received the Padma Shri award in 1999 and Padma Vibhushan award in 2008.

In 2010 , Time magazine included Sachin in its annual Time 100 list as one of the "Most Influential People in the World".

In December 2012 , Sachin Tendulkar announced his retirement from ODIs.

Sachin Tendulkar retired from Twenty20 cricket in October 2013.

Sachin Tendulkar played 664 international cricket matches and scoring 34,357 runs.

In 2019 , Sachin Tendulkar was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
